The sight of all these Magpie Geese and the sound of the cicadas remind me of a short piece I shared a few years back on Radio National's Country Hour program.

Last week I heard a strange 'hoinking' coming from a mahogany tree near the house which turned out to be a Channel-billed Cuckoo.
